I stopped watching professional wrestling years ago, but sometimes the squared circle invades the gridiron. It did so here in this Tennessee high school football game between Sevier County High School and Gibbs High School, as spotted by former Tennessee QB Jonathan Crompton:
I can’t stop watching this high school football player power bomb an opponent
He really pulled off a wrasslin’ move mid-game. Please don’t attempt this.

I’ve seen suplexes like these.
But that is a full-on power bomb.
I’m not 100 percent sure who the player is here, but No. 7 on the team’s Maxpreps.com roster is DE/QB Jeffrey Bersche.
Sure, there’s a pretty obvious player safety concern here, and I understand that. But, also, that’s a friggin power bomb, a la Batista.
As for why the bomb-ee was in that position, my best guess is this is some sort of crab or cut-block situation.
It stands to reason Bersche would be pretty annoyed by this tactic, especially given the fact that the play’s over. The cut block is a particular move that’s got some psychological warfare attached to it.
On the other hand, so does the power bomb.
