Predicting the Georgia vs. Alabama National Championship using ‘NCAA Football’ Mascot Mode
The only predictions that actually matter.
Alabama.
I’m simming the National Championship in NCAA Football 14’s Mascot Mode (which correctly predicted both semifinals) and doing it at the site of the SEC Championship because, well, the game is at the site of the SEC Championship and features two SEC teams.
THIS ONE’S FOR ALL THE MARBLES. IF YOU HAVE ANY MARBLES LEFT, HAND THEM OVER, BECAUSE I SAID ALL!

First quarter
The Tide got off to a good start with a strong, nine-play drive that ends with a touchdown:
Georgia strikes back with a fiery drive of its own, getting the passing game started early on its first drive with plays like this!!!
That leads to a field goal.
Alabama 7, Georgia 3.
Second quarter
Alabama starts to put together another scoring drive, but Georgia isn’t with it:
Georgia caps off a drive with an easy TD run by RB Hairy Dawg!
Alabama strikes back with a run of its own:
But Georgia responds by scoring in 40 SECONDS!
Alabama says that’s cute...we can score in EIGHT SECONDS!
The Dawgs have 27 seconds left in the half to score. Can they pull it off?
OF COURSE THEY CAN.
Halftime: Georgia 24, Alabama 21.
Third quarter
Georgia finds a little breathing room with this incredible pass-catch combination:
After an Alabama punt, Georgia comes right back on the field with a quarterback on fire and a defense that’s not excited to see him:
It was all Georgia in the third quarter. CAN ALABAMA COME BACK?!
Georgia 38, Alabama 21.
Fourth quarter
The Tide start off the quarter with a powerful scoring drive:
After a Georgia field goal, Alabama gets the ball back with 1:55 to play. The Tide strike quickly to make it a SIX-POINT GAME:
ALABAMA THEN RECOVERS THE ONSIDE KICK WITH A CHANCE TO WIN THE GAME, AND ON THE VERY NEXT PLAY ...
... it’s picked.
THAT’S THE GAME! GEORGIA HAS WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!
Georgia’s QB balled out, and ALABAMA couldn’t keep up!
