Things did not go well for Miami on the road against Boston College on Friday night, folks. As the Canes were trailing by three early in the second half, Miami starting quarterback Malik Rosier threw an interception to Eagles defensive back Hamp Cheevers.
Let’s treasure this Miami-Boston College interception, frame by frame
This bad boy was in play for a solid five seconds before it was downed!

But this wasn’t just any interception — this thing wasn’t downed for like five seconds before he finally recovered it. On the initial tip, the ball went like a solid 10 feet in the air before it reached a BC player’s hands:
And it didn’t wanna be downed! In total, it looks like this thing was tipped a total of five different times before Cheevers eventually hauled it in.
Let’s break this down frame-by-frame, shall we?
Tip 1: It looked like this ball at first WOULD GO INTO SPACE! It went so dang high it went out of the camera’s frame!
Tip 2: It looked like BC can easily haul this one in, right?
Tip 3: NOPE, IT KEPT ON GOING! You can see the ball right on No. 11’s shoulder:
Tip 4: Wait, then here, it looks like we nearly had a Miami recovery after all!
Tip 5: Nope, this bounced out, too:
Tip 6: FINALLY, Cheevers is able to haul it in and returns it 23 yards to Miami’s 14.
Boston College was able to capitalize on the fumble with a touchdown.
Thank you for this beautiful moment, Canes and Eagles.
