The holiday season is coming to an end, and Week 14 in Men’s Division I Hockey puts most teams back on the ice in tournament-style play over the weekend. The Florida College Classic, Three Rivers Classic, Mariucci Classic, UConn Hockey Classic, Catamount Cup, Great Lakes Invitational and the Ledyard Bank Classic will all unfold this weekend.
2012 College Hockey schedule: Post-holiday tournaments dominate the weekend slate
Most NCAA Divison I men’s hockey teams will return to the ice for tournament-style play this weekend after enjoying a brief holiday break.

No. 11 Cornell and No, 19 Ferris State headline the Florida College Classic, which will be played on Dec. 28 and 29 at the Germain Arena in Estero, Fla. Maine won the tournament in 2011, but they have slipped out of the top-20 USCHO rankings this season.
The Three Rivers Classic will also take place on Dec. 28 and 29, and No. 5 Miami (OH) -- a program riding a streak of seven-straight NCAA tournament appearances -- will be the favorite to plow through the likes of Ohio State, Penn State and Robert Morris.
The Mariucci Classic and the Great Lakes Invitational both start up on Saturday and then wrap up on Sunday. No. 1 Boston College and No. 4 Minnesota will clash on Sunday (8:05 p.m. ET) as part of the second day in the Mariucci Classic, and it will be the biggest game of the weekend. Meanwhile, No. 8 Western Michigan will be the clear favorite to win the Great Lakes Invitational.
Finally, No. 2 New Hampshire will attempt to knock off No. 10 Dartmouth in a huge game on Sunday, and then will attempt to roll through Bemidji State or Massachusetts in the Ledyard Bank Classic in Hanover, N.H. on Dec. 30 and 31.
