College Hockey schedule 2013: Michigan, Notre Dame throw down in CCHA Championship
Michigan will take on Notre Dame in the 2013 CCHA Championship game on Sunday in hopes of earning a bid to the NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament.

The Wolverines, especially, need the win. The Irish are currently ranked No. 9 in the latest USCHO poll, and could earn an at-large bid even with a loss. The Wolverines, however, are ranked No. 20 at 17-18-3 on the season. They have closed the year on a tear, winning eight of their final nine games with a tie to Ferris State in early March.
To get to the conference championship game, No. 7 seed Michigan beat No. 1 seed (and No. 3 in the country) Miami 6-2 in Detroit. Notre Dame, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, beat No. 4 Ohio State, 3-1, to advance.
