The first game of the Super Saturday between Somerset and South Australian Redbacks in the Champions League T20 ended in a soggy mess thanks to the rains at Bangalore. Both sides shared a point each after the game could not be started throughout the duration of the game.
Somerset, South Australia Split Points After Rained-Off Game
A rained-off game between Somerset and South Australia at Bangalore meant that the two teams had to share the points.

Michael Klinger, captain of the South Australian side, had won the toss and decided to field first, anticipating the rains but the weather turned inclement rather soon. With rains showing no signs of abating, and a second match to be played in the day between Kolkata Knight Riders and the Warriors, the umpires had no option but to call the game quits.
The result meant that South Australia moved up to three points from three games while Somerset have the same points but have played a game lesser.
In the second game of the day, Kolkata won another rain-affected game against the Warriors to boost their outside chances of getting to the knock-out stage.
