With injuries continuing to mount for India, the latest replacement to join the side battling England in the ODIs is Manoj Tiwary, who will replace Rohit Sharma. Rohit had been cracked on his hand by a short ball from Stuart Broad off the first ball he played in the first ODI and suffered from a fracture.

India will be bereft of the services of Rohit Sharma who was hit on his hand by a sharp rising delivery in the first ODI and will see Manoj Tiwary take his place in the side.
Sachin Tendulkar could be yet another casualty as he looks to seek an expert opinion on his injured foot today. If he gets ruled out for the rest of the series, he will continue to remain on 99 international centuries before he gets back playing international cricket. India has already lost Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir to injuries and Tendulkar could well be the third frontline opener in the casualty ward.
Tiwary has played in three games for India, including one in Australia in 2008 and two in the West Indies before the start of this tour.
Tiwary’s reselection comes after he had an excellent time at the Emerging Players tournament in Australia, in which he had scores of 188, 59, 45 and 36 on hard, bouncy tracks.
It remains to be seen though, whether he will immediately be brought into the playing 11 or whether Rohit could be replaced by all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja instead. Jadeja had been called up as a replacement for Gambhir, who had earlier returned home after suffering from a mild concussion from a head injury.
