West Indies A Beat India A To Win The Series 2-1

The West Indies A team registered a thumping victory against their Indian counterparts to win the three-test series 2-1. After narrowly losing the first test, the home team showed remarkable determination to put it across their much-fancied opponents. Kieran Powell put the Indian bowlers to the sword yet again, as he guided his team to a ten-wicket win.
Resuming overnight in strife having lost seven wickets, the Indians would have been depending on Wriddhiman Saha to get their team to a defendable score. That was not to be however, as the wicket keeper was dismissed by Mclean after having just got his half century. Robin Bisht, who was indisposed, did not turn up to bat, and after a few blows from Shami Ahmed, the team folded for 202. With a lead of 96, the Indians would have been looking to get some early wickets to put pressure on the batting side. That was, however, not to be as both Brathwaite and Powell faced no difficulty in putting the bowlers away and it took them just eighteen overs to chase the target down.
The Indian batting order, which consisted of players with a relatively good amount of international experience (some of whom are stars in the IPL) could not even get to 300 in the entire series as none of the batsmen scored a century. In the aftermath of the poor show in West Indies, the BCCI announced that India 'A' will tour New Zealand in September-October for two four-day matches, three one-dayers and one Twenty20 game.
