The ICC annual conference took place in Kuala Lumpur on 26 and 27 June. The board discussed a variety of issues ranging from the format of the game, Day/Night test matches, Corruption and Integrity and UDRS.

The board agreed to lay more emphasis on 50 over cricket as a number of countries still had a fan following for that format. To make it more exciting, the ICC will tweak the period of Power Play overs, allow bowlers to bowl two bouncers in an over, and reduce the number of fielders outside the inner field to four during the non powerplay overs.
The board approved a USD 5,00,000 funding for cricket Ireland and Scotland for their development. The present system of UDRS where both the competing teams decide on its usage will be continued, however, the Hot Spot has become mandatory to be included in the Decision Review System.
The board also discussed about corruption within the game and the need to marginalise and ban guilty players.
