The 2013 Tour de France continues on Monday with the third stage as the riders spend their last day on Corsica. The race will go northwards along the west coast of the island from Ajaccio to Calvi.

The third stage of the Tour de France will be a hilly day on Corsica.

The riders will have to deal with a tough stage that will see them climb from the beginning until the end. There are no long climbs, but the Category 2 Col de Marsolino is a steep 3.3 kilometer climb that will test the field. The first climb begins right at the start and the peloton is expected to stretch right from there and stay stretched all stage long.
Jan Bakelants will race with the yellow jersey, but he isn’t expected to keep it for too long. 91 riders are within a second of him, including many of the favorites.

TV coverage of the third stage begins at 6:30 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Network and the cycling should begin just after they go on the air. The stage can also be watched live online on Tour de France Live.
