While there will be 2,593 meters of climbing for the Vuelta a Espana’s 18th stage on Thursday, the course contains a total of 2,369 meters of descent. The category two climb is 13.3 kilometers at 3.8 percent grade, which isn’t enough to really get in the way of the sprinters.

That’s why Thursday’s stage could be one of the best of the whole race. There are tired legs and the whole pack of riders are sore. Nobody is at full strength, but it should still be considered a sprinting stage, and with that comes intrigue. Those particularly adept at the breakaway should be able to make something happen on Thursday.

The stage is set to begin at 5:45 a.m. ET, with an approximate finish just before 11 a.m. The earliest live video will begin at 8 a.m. and the best way to watch it is via a subscription to NBC Sports Gold, that brings you plenty of cycling coverage live and some other goodies.

Below is a look at the profile for the stage, and then all the information you need to watch Thursday’s stage 191 kilometer Stage 18, which will take riders from Requena at the start to Gandia at the finish.
