Through 45 minutes of play in the second leg of their League Cup semifinal, Swansea City have the upper hand on Chelsea and look like a good bet to finish the upset and head to Wembley. They're protecting their 2-0 lead brilliantly, and have comfortably taken a 0-0 draw from this match into halftime to keep their two-goal aggregate lead.

Petr Cech was forced into action early by Michu, who nearly scored on the end of a brilliant 9th minute move by the Swans. Wayne Routledge set him up with a brilliant first-time through ball, but the Spaniard -- who just inked a new contract to stay at the Liberty Stadium through 2016 -- couldn't find the back of the net. Cech came up huge with a brilliant diving stop.
While Chelsea had plenty of possession and some half-chances around the box, they lacked the quality to create anything clear-cut, which is stunning given the players on the pitch. None of Oscar, Juan Mata or Eden Hazard have looked their best, with Mata playing the poorest of the three. Demba Ba is moving more than Fernando Torres ever does, but he hasn't been set up for anything significant. His best chance came in first half stoppage time, when he pounced on a failed clearance, but rocketed it over the bar.
