Formula 1 2016 live stream: Start time, TV schedule and starting grid for Italian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton sits on the pole for the Italian Grand Prix, set to begin on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton took his spot at the head of the grid once again, after starting near the back in the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend, and he will sit the pole for the Italian Grand Prix from Monza on Sunday.

Hamilton took a massive 55-place grid penalty for gearbox changes and served it in that race. But crashes and safety cars worked in his favor and he still finished that race on the podium.

His Mercedes teammate and biggest competition in the Drivers’ Championship, Nico Rosberg, will start second on the grid after qualifying five tenths of a second behind Hamilton.

Ferrari will be feeling good after locking out the second row, with Sebastian Vettel in third and Kimi Raikkonen in fourth. Ferrari has been pushed by Red Bull and Force India in recent qualifying sessions.

It was also a great qualifying session for Williams, a team that has faded into the background after being among the top three teams last season. Felipe Massa came up short in 11th, but teammate Valtteri Bottas qualified in fifth and is just ahead of the Red Bulls of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, respectively.

Esteban Gutierrez of Haas managed to make it into the third qualifying session on Saturday, the first time a Haas driver has made it that far. He couldn’t do any better than that though, and will start 10th on the grid. Just ahead of him are the Force Indias of Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg.

Romain Grosjean, another Haas driver, will start from 17th on the grid. He actually qualified in 12th, just outside of the points, but he received a five-place grid penalty due to a gearbox change. So for the time being, hopes on a points finish for the American-owned Haas rest with Gutierrez.

The race is set to begin at 8 a.m. ET and will be broadcast live in the United States on NBCSN. A live stream of the race will also be available online via NBC Sports, but it will require a sign-in to a cable or satellite provider.
