Kimi Raikkonen will start in first place on the gird for the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, possibly the biggest race on the sport’s calendar each and every year. The 2.074-mile road course is one of the most exciting to watch each year, and Ferrari will have a front row lockout with Sebastian Vettel qualifying in second.

Sunday’s race will begin bright and early in the United States, airing on NBC at 8 a.m. ET. It’s held on the same day as the Indianapolis 500, one of the other biggest races in all of motorsports. A live stream of the Monaco Grand Prix will be available via NBC Sports and the NBC Sports app on various connected devices.

The Indy 500 is mentioned because Fernando Alonso, perhaps the best driver in F1, is skipping Monaco to race in the American race for the first time. Jenson Button, who retired at the end of last season, will race for McLaren in place of Alonso.

Button made it to the final qualifying session and made it ninth fastest, but will start from the back of the grid due to a 15-place penalty from an engine change.

Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes trails Vettel in the Drivers Championship by just six points. But he’ll have little prospect of closing that gap on Sunday, as he was forced to abort a qualifying lap in the second session following a Stoffel Vandoorne crash.

Mercedes as won the last five Monaco Grands Prix, and they still have a shot at it with Valtteri Bottas qualifying third fastest. Behind the Mercedes and Ferraris are the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, as usual.

Raikkonen last qualified on pole back in 2008 at the French Grand Prix. The polesitter typically performs very well in Monaco as the narrow road course make it extremely difficult to overtake at speed.

Below is all you need to know to watch Sunday’s race on television and online in the United States.
