Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes has pole position while the Ferraris of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen are right behind him going into the F1 Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday.
Formula 1 2017: Starting grid, lineup for Austrian Grand Prix
Valtteri Bottas has pole position going into the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday. Here’s how you can watch on TV and online.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. ET on Sunday, and will be broadcast by CNBC in the United States. You can find a free online stream of the race at NBC Sports and via the NBC Sports App on various devices.
Bottas is third in the Drivers Championship standings, and he’s still in the running for the top spot. He’s quite a ways behind teammate Lewis Hamilton, who himself is behind Vettel. Hamilton qualified in third behind Vettel, but will start eighth on the grid after a five-place penalty for a gearbox change.
The gearbox is supposed to last several races, but Hamilton’s was changed only two races ago, hence the penalty.
Behind the Ferraris are the two Red Bulls of Daneil Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, in that order. Verstappen looks to have one of the brightest futures in the sport, but the young driver has constantly battled car troubles this season. Some have even discussed the potential for Verstappen to jump to a better team as soon as next season.
But for now, he’s with Red Bull, and he’ll be doing his best to get the one-up on Ricciardo, though he doesn’t expect the car to be that competitive with the cars in front.
“Tomorrow I don’t think we are quite there in terms of speed to fight with Mercedes and Ferrari,” Verstappen said, “but as we have seen a lot can happen in the race so anything is possible.”
The Williams cars of Felipe Massa and Lance Stroll will start 17th and 18th, respectively. It’s a huge blow to their hopes as they benefited from a wild race in Baku and managed to get a podium finish out of it. Stroll, a rookie, couldn’t keep the rear of his car in control and Massa had similar struggles.
They are ahead of only the two Saubers of Marcus Ericsson and Pascal Wehrlein. Both McLarens of Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne made it to the second qualifying session, but will start 12th and 13th.
