The Patriots will host the Raiders to kick off the 2025 season on Sunday. New England comes into this matchup as 2-point favorites, with an over/under of 43.5. Both teams have up-temp offensive coaches in Chip Kelly and Josh McDaniels, which should push the pace. Both offenses were poor last season, as the Raiders ranked 31st in EPA per offensive play and the Patriots ranked 27th. Both teams can improve easily, how much they improve is the question.
TreVeyon Henderson start or sit: Week 1 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of TreVeyon Henderson ahead of Week 1

The addition of second-round running back TreVeyon Henderson should go a long way toward getting the Patriots offense going. He is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands, who’s also a good pass blocker and receiver.
Below, we’ll go over Henderson’ outlook in fantasy football for Week 1.
Fantasy Football analysis: Patriots, RB, TreVeyon Henderson
At this point in the season, we just don’t know how Henderson will split time with Rhamondre Stevenson. The good news is that the backs are different enough, that Henderson shouldn’t have any trouble seeing work after a strong training camp and preseason. Stevenson is more of a bruiser, while Henderson is more dynamic, and can be used all over the field That does set Stevenson up for short yardage and coveted goal line work.
Thankfully for those rostering Henderson, even if he doesn’t see big usage, his explosive ability gives him good fantasy upside even on limited touches. As far as ability goes, Henderson is just plain better than Stevenson, which should lead to more work for Henderson, but we’ll need to see it actually happen on the field.
Start or sit in Week 1 PPR leagues?
Start. Henderson is a strong start in PPR leagues. His ability as a receiver and blocker should get him into passing down work from the get-go. He looks like an RB2 this week against an overall weak Raiders defense.
Start or sit in Week 1 standard leagues?
Start. Henderson isn’t as strong a start in standard leagues as PPR, but I’m still flexing him in standard due to his explosiveness. He has more risk than someone boring like Nick Chubb, but his upside is so much higher.
