The New York Jets host the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game where the opening day starting quarterbacks from last season for each team has switched franchises and will face each other. Justin Fields is now the Jets starting quarterback and Aaron Rodgers is the Steelers’.
Jaylen Warren start or sit: Week 1 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Jaylen Warren ahead of Week 1

This game is set up to be a slow paced, low scoring affair, as both teams have good defenses and run first offenses. Vegas has the over/under set at 37.5 points, easily the lowest of the week. Fantasy points will be hard to come by, but they will happen, probably.
The Steelers drafted RB Kaleb Johnson in the third round to replace Najee Harris who they let go in free agency. Johnson should end up as the lead back while Warren works on passing downs, but that doesn’t look like the dynamic to start the season. I do think Johnson will get touches in Week 1, but Warren is the veteran and has the trust of the coaches while also being the better pass blocker of the two. Add in Kenneth Gainwell, who will see some work, and touch distribution will be tough to predict correctly against the Jets.
Below, we’ll go over Jaylen Warren’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 1.
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers, RB, Jaylen Warren

They also held running backs to the seventh fewest receptions and ninth-fewest receiving yards. The good news is that they’ll likely see a
Start or sit in Week 1 PPR leagues?
Sit. This is a tough one. If you are in need, Warren has some upside in PPR, but this matchup coupled with the threat of Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell have me too worried about a flop.
Start or sit in Week 1 standard leagues?
Sit. I’m even more inclined to sit Warren in standard leagues, as I believe Johnson will take some of the early down and goal line work.
