The Tampa Bay Buccaneers head into Atlanta to take on the Falcons as 1.5-point road favorites in a game with a 47.5 over/under. This game sets up for a high-scoring affair, as both teams ranked 29th and 30th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks last season. And in their last three matchups, they’ve totaled 54, 66, and 57 points. We can expect another offensive affair in the dome this Sunday, which is great for fantasy production.
Cade Otton start or sit: Week 1 fantasy football advice
We break down the fantasy football outlook of Cade Otton ahead of Week 1

The Buccaneers will be without Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan, two of their best receivers. That leaves veteran Mike Evans and rookie Emeka Egbuka as the starting receivers, Sterling Shepard in the slot and Cade Otton at tight end. With Shepard mostly washed at this point, target distribution should be concentrated.
Below, we’ll go over Cade Otton’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 1.
Fantasy Football analysis: Buccaneers, TE, Cade Otton
Otton has been dealing with a groin injury, but he practiced in full on Thursday and appears set to be taken off the injury report if he practices in full again on Friday. He isn’t a dynamic player, but he is solid and gives Baker Mayfield a safe outlet. Last season with injuries all around him, he saw his usage go way up. Between Weeks 3 and 12 he caught 53-of-76 targets for 501 yards and four touchdowns, averaging almost eight targets per game. In his two games against the Falcons, he caught 12-of-14 targets for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
Start or sit in Week 1 PPR leagues?
Start. Otton doesn’t really have upside to put up huge numbers, but, he should see plenty of targets to keep his PPR floor high.
Start or sit in Week 1 standard leagues?
Start. Everything sets up well for him in this game to be one of the most targeted tight ends in Week 1. I’ll take that in any format.
