Week 2 of the fantasy football season is here! But before we get into it, let’s take a look at a couple of winners from Week 1.
Fantasy football rankings:Top 100 PPR wide receivers for Week 2
Chet Gresham takes us through the top 100 PPR wide receivers for Week 2

Zay Flowers was the no-doubt No. 1 receiver for the Ravens in Week 1, as he caught 7-of-9 targets for 143 yards and a touchdown, while adding two rushing attempts for eight yards. Those nine targets were huge, as Lamar Jackson only threw the ball 19 times. If Flowers can continue to see focused targets like this, his floor will be much higher than last season.
Keenan Allen is long in the tooth, but that didn’t stop him from getting open against the Chiefs in Brazil last Friday. With Justin Herbert playing one of his best games ever, he made Allen his No. 1 target. Yes, Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey also had good games, but it sure looks like Allen will be Herbert’s security blanket this season.
Wide receiver injuries
Xavier Worthy, Chiefs
Head coach Andy Reid considers Worthy “day-to-day,” which seems to indicate Worthy will wear a brace and try to play through the injury. His odds of playing this week aren’t really known at this point, so we’ll need to keep an eye on the practice reports. If he can’t play, Hollywood Brown continues to get a significant boost in opportunities.
Drake London, Falcons
London suffered a shoulder sprain against the Buccaneers, but there is a chance he won’t miss time. Keep a close eye on the injury reports for his status this week.
Darnell Mooney, Falcons
Mooney was unable to play on a questionable tag in Week 1 due to a shoulder injury, but he was a game-time decision. It would make sense that he has a good chance to play this week against the Vikings. If London were to miss and Mooney can play, he would get a big bump in opportunities.
Jauan Jennings, 49ers
Jennings suffered a shoulder injury in Seattle in Week 1, but it appears he avoided a serious injury, per Ian Rapoport. At this point in the week it at least appears he’ll be able to play against the Saints, but keep an eye on the injury reports.
Christian Kirk, Texans
Kirk missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury. He does have a chance to play this week, but I wouldn’t count on him just yet.
Chris Godwin, Buccaneers
Godwin isn’t on the PUP list, but all reports point to him not returning until around Week 5 due to rehab on his surgically repaired ankle.

Darnell Mooney, Falcons at Vikings
Mooney wasn’t able to go in Week 1 due to his shoulder injury, but he appeared to be very close to playing. Week 2 looks better for his chances, while his rostership is at 52% in yahoo leagues. He’s worth a pickup if available and if Drake London were to miss, he’d be a strong start.
Kayshon Boutte, Patriots vs. Dolphins
We saw Daniel Jones pick apart the Dolphins poor pass defense in Week 1, while Boutte caught 6-of-8 targets from Drake Maye for 103 yards. This should be a get right game for Maye, and hopefully the Dolphins offense is a bit more prepared to play football this week, so the game isn’t a blowout.
