The Cleveland Browns managed to rip a loss out of the jaws of victory against the Bengals in Week 1 and now they face the Ravens in Baltimore as 11.5-point underdogs in Week 2. The Ravens will be ready to take out their frustrations on the less talented Browns, but that doesn’t mean Joe Flacco won’t throw 50 times.

Against the Bengals, in a game the Browns very much could have won, Flacco completed 31-of-45 passes. There will be plenty of targets to go around. and rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. hopes he can once again be a focal point of the Browns passing attack. In Week 1 he caught 7-of-9 targets for 63 yards. His nine targets and seven receptions both were tied for second-most in the league.

Fannin Jr. was the TE2 in snaps and routes in Week 1 behind David Njoku. He had a high 31% target per route run rate, per PFF. That kind of usage will be hard to replicate, especially if he continues to play behind Njoku, which he should.

Below, we’ll go over Harold Fannin’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 2.

Fantasy Football analysis: Browns, TE, Harold Fannin Jr.

The Ravens have a good defense, but they were beat by tight ends more than any other position last season in fantasy. They also gave up a touchdown to Dalton Kincaid last week. Njoku remains in play, but so does Fannin. In a game that should have plenty of targets, I still expect Fannin to get his shots with the Browns lacking at wide receiver depth.

Start or sit in Week 2 PPR leagues?

Start. Tight ends are tough, so when you see one getting special attention, it’s worth seeing if they can continue winning targets. Adding in the likely pass-first, come from behind game script, and I like Fannin again this week in both PPR and standard.

Start or sit in Week 2 standard leagues?

Start.
