The Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, came back from 15 points down in the fourth quarter to be a the Ravens 41-40 last Sunday night. Allen took over the game, completing 33-of-46 passes for 394 yards and two touchdowns, adding two rushing touchdowns on 14 carries. It was a Herculean effort by the MVP, but will he and the offense have for an encore on the road against the Jets this Sunday?

Allen’s huge game helped elevate a lot of Bills players for fantasy. Three wide receivers had five or more receptions for 60+ yards, including Josh Palmer, who caught 5-of-9 targets for 61 yards. The question is, does Allen need to throw for 394 yards on 46 attempts for Palmer to see nine targets? Both Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir put up better numbers on similar targets, which really makes it tough for the WR3 to see consistent work.

Below, we’ll go over Joshua Palmer’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 2.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bills, WR, Joshua Palmer

Palmer has never been a dynamic receiving threat, but he is good enough to win targets in a pass-first offense. He’s useful in deeper PPR leagues, as he should have some consistent value, but his upside will be capped as long as Coleman and Shakir are healthy. He’s likely going to need a touchdown to give you starting value week to week.

Start or sit in Week 2 PPR leagues?

Sit. It’s hard to get excited about Palmer unless we know he’s getting targets funneled to him due to injuries. He’s worth holding onto if Shakir or Coleman miss time or you need a flex play during byes.

Start or sit in Week 2 standard leagues?

Sit.
