Week 6 is just around the corner. So what should you expect from the top TEs? Here are five names poised for a big weekend.
Fantasy Football Projections Week 6: Tight Ends
Antonio Gates - Yup, it's Gates again at the top of the list. How can you go wrong with this guy? Every week he scores at least a touchdown. This week his team is taking on the Rams who give up a lot of yards but actually do well in preventing passing touchdowns. But Gates finds the endzone every week, and he will again this week - and pile up the yards.
Projection: (121 yds, 1 TD)
Dallas Clark - Clark, like almost all of the Colts offense, is coming off a down week. We never bet on studs to have two bad performances in a row, so we're giving Clark the go-ahead this week. Going up against a very suspect Washington pass defense, Manning will find lots of opportunities for points and Clark should benefit.
Projection: (102 yds, 1 TD)
Jason Witten - Normally we wouldn't recommend a guy so high when playing against a stingy Vikings pass defense. But this week, the Viking shave injury issues in the secondary and the Cowboys will likely bypass the run and attack through the air. They have the firepower to do it and Witten should be a prime target.
Projection: (82 yds, 1 TD)
Zach Miller- Miller has been hot the past few weeks, scoring touchdowns in three straight games including a monster game versus Houston. San Francisco’s pass defense is ripe for the picking, already giving up nine touchdowns on the season.
Projection: (80 yds, 1 TD)
Vernon Davis - The 49er tight end has hit paydirt two weeks in a row. This week he gets an Oakland pass defense that surrenders a lot of touchdowns. This adds up to another week in the endzone for Davis.
Projection: (71 yds, 1 TD)
