Your top five fantasy tight end projections for Week 7.
Fantasy Football Projections Week 7: Tight Ends
Vernon Davis (@ Car) - You've heard the stat by now, Carolina is one of two defenses that have yet to give up a touchdown to a tight end. That ends this week. Davis has scored a touchdown in each of his last three games. We got a feeling he has a big day, in yards and with a touchdown to boot.
Projection: 102 yds, 1 TD
Tony Gonzalez (vs. Cin) - Gonzalez didn't catch a lot of passes last week, but when he did, he made them count. Two touchdowns on three receptions is a dang good ratio. He probably won't get two again this week, but against a Cincy pass defense that has let some tight ends run wild, he'll have a good day.
Projection: 97 yds, 1 TD
Brent Celek (@ Ten) - Celek hasn't been spectacular this year, but he's had a touchdown in two of the last three weeks. Kevin Kolb is developing a good rapport with Celek, and with DeSean Jackson likely out, he'll be even more important to the Eagles offense.
Projection: 86 yds, 1 TD
Tony Moeaki (vs. Jax) - When a team plays the Jacksonville defense, you almost have to throw all their skill position players into your lineup. Jax has given up a whopping 14 passing touchdowns on the season, so you know offenses are feasting. Take a leap of faith with Moeaki.
Projection: 85 yds, 1 TD
Antonio Gates (vs. NE) - It looks like Gates is going to play through injury. If we were sure about his health, meaning he'd be at 100%, then he'd be at the top of our board. New England is a weak pass defense and would give Gates plenty of opportunities. If he's actually fully healthy on Sunday, his projected numbers would go up.
Projection: 75 yds, 1 TD
