Week 5 is just around the corner. So what should you expect from the top TEs? Here are five names poised for a big weekend.
Fantasy Football Projections Week 5: Tight Ends
Antonio Gates - You might as well as etch Gates’ name in stone on the top of the tight end list. Last week, Gates made plenty of fantasy owners happy with a huge day (144 yds, 2 TDs). Even though Oakland doesn’t give up a lot of passing yards, they do give up the TDs. Gates is the Chargers prime weapon, and should find the endzone.
Projection: (95 yds, 1 TD)
Dallas Clark - Clark has to fight for his passes with the Colts having so many weapons in their offense, but year after year he gets it done. The Chiefs defense is vulnerable through the air, so Manning will have a lot of passes to go around, and Clark should see his share.
Projection: (86 yds, 1 TD)
Jermichael Finley - The Packers are a high-powered offense, and this week they get a favorable matchup for the passing offense when they take on the Redskins. One week Finley gets his points through yards, the next by getting a TD. We think he’ll get a little of both this week.
Projection: (82 yds, 1 TD)
Tony Gonzalez - Gonzalez has only had one “big” week so far this season, but with a favorable matchup against the Browns, he should get two. If you’re in a PPR league, Gonzalez has been money over the past two weeks.
Projection: (64 yds, 1 TD)
Dustin Keller - No one has been as hot as Dustin Keller at the tight end position over the last few weeks. On that alone, you got to go with him. But with Marc Sanchez starting to get more comfortable at QB, you can feel comfortable going with Keller weekly. The Lions tight ends got loose against Minnesota last week, Keller will this week.
Projection: (105 yds, 0 TD)
