Fantasy Football, Week 5 News: Knowshon Moreno Is Out Against Ravens

[Update: Josh McDaniels made it official. Moreno is out on Sunday.]

Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno returned to practice on Wednesday after injuring his hamstring Sept. 23. He did not practice on Thursday, as Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels explained he wasn't quite healthy enough to practice two days in a row.

McDaniels says he'll be questionable to play on Sunday against the Ravens.

"I think we're trying to make sure we make a smart decision on when he's ready, when he's not," McDaniels said. "Unfortunately, we can't have him out there every day at this point until he's totally healthy."

The Broncos running game has been so miserable this season that you probably don't even want to play a banged-up Moreno. And then you add to that the Ravens run defense, which is second in the league, and things look bleak. The Broncos are last in the NFL in yards per carry and only two of the four games have included Moreno.

If Moreno can't go, it'll be Laurence Maroney and Correll Buckhalter shouldering the load.
