It makes sense that Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson has collected most of Tennesee’s yardage early in Randy Moss’ first game as a Titan. But did you expect Moss to have zero catches on one target late in the second? Well, you’re probably not shocked by that. But did you expect Dolphins WR Brian Hartline to have 91 yards late in the second? No, that you did not expect.
Dolphins WR Brian Hartline Also Starring In Randy Moss’ Titans Debut
Hartline caught a 54-yard flea flicker bomb from Chad Henne, plus three other catches to give him his season high and put him five yards short of his career high. The loft of Henne’s pass was jarring at first, as Chad Pennington started this game before immediately suffering an injury, and the viewer’s eye momentarily registered the cannon shot as having been fired by Pennington. Everybody freaked out.
Despite being a fairly consistent yardage guy, considering he plays in Miami’s collegiate offense, Hartline still only has three career touchdowns. Moss hasn’t caught more than 81 yards in a game since week 10 of 2009. Hey look, this is week 10 of 2010.
