Jon Kitna, Felix Jones, Dez Bryant Electric In New Meadowlands Against The Giants

The New York Giants entered today with the league’s best defense by 24 yards per game, allowing only 250 a contest. Dallas Cowboys QB Jon Kitna has blown past that mark in the middle of the third quarter, distributing 327 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 attempts. RB Felix Jones has 126 total yards and a touchdown, nearly matched by WR Dez Bryant’s 104 yards plus a score.

This is already the seventh-biggest yardage day of Kitna’s 14-year career. He’s never thrown for 300 or more yards without throwing an interception, of which he has none today. He’s also thrown for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns only once. Considering today’s opponent, we could very well be witnessing Kitna’s best-ever game.

This is also the biggest game of Jones’ season and Bryant’s rookie career. With the Giants showing a little offensive life and gaining 317 yards of their own, the Cowboys are going to need to keep swinging. Jason Garrett’s first game as Cowboys coach seems to have had quite an impact on this offense. #obvious
