Adrian Peterson Injury: AP Returns To The Field

Adrian Peterson has made his way back onto the field, but did not have a carry or reception on the play. Heading towards the fourth quarter of today's NFC match up between the Minnesota Vikings (3-7) and the Washington Redskins (5-5), Peterson made his first appearance since about midway through the second quarter of the game.

After limping off of the field during the second quarter, Peterson was listed as probable to return to the game by the Vikings. But when half time came around Peterson had still not returned to the field nor was he seen attempting to return to the game.

All that changed during the end of half time when Peterson was seen with the Vikings training staff trying to make his way back to the sideline. Peterson was holding his helmet in his hands and looked determined to return to the field of play for the third quarter. Again he would not make an appearance, even though he was still listed as probable after the end of half time.

Peterson had 6 carries for 36 yards and a touchdown during the time he played during the first half.
