When the Tennessee Titans claimed WR Randy Moss off the waiver wire on Wednesday many people wondered whether that was because of the injury to WR Kenny Britt's hamstring. Britt, who has had a solid fantasy football season to this point, has already been ruled out for the Titans Week 10 game.
Good Timing On Randy Moss: Titans’ Kenny Britt May Be Out 6-8 Weeks
But just how long will he be out?
Titans Insider reports that Britt could be out 6-8 weeks as he deals with his injured hamstring. That will all but end his fantasy football season if that’s the case. We’re entering Week 9 and even the low end of six weeks would put his return back after Week 14 when fantasy football playoffs are winding down.
Hamstrings are the kind of injury that can linger so I imagine the Titans, if they can continue to win without him, don’t want to push his return.
This has big fantasy football implications. It means that Randy Moss won't have to share the spotlight and Nate Washington will hold onto the starting job for most of the season.
This 6-8 week injury would essentially end Britt’s fantasy football season.
