In his third game since returning to the New York Giants starting lineup, RB Brandon Jacobs has the G-men on the board early against the Washington Redskins. Jacobs banged in an eight-yard touchdown run to conclude a drive on which he was the prime contributor.
Brandon Jacobs Scores Day’s First Touchdown Against Washington Redskins
A total of 49 yards puts him in line to set a new season high — last week he racked up 87. This is also his first touchdown since week seven against the Dallas Cowboys.
Though Jacobs is starting, he’s still splitting carries with RB Ahmad Bradshaw. The smaller back has two carries today for eight yards, though he shouldn’t be expected to crack 100 yards these days as he did thrice earlier in the year. Bradshaw will still get more catches than Jacobs though, so this will continue to be a week-to-week deal if you have both of these backs.
