Matt Schaub Status Update: Texans QB Will Start Against Ravens

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, despite a lingering shoulder injury, will start Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, according to HoustonTexans.com's Nick Scurfield.

Schaub sat out of practice Wednesday with a sore throwing shoulder, but practiced on a limited basis Thursday. Yet, he was listed as probable for Sunday’s game and upgraded to full practice Friday, meaning that he is ready to go for the Texans.

Through five games, Schaub has 98 completions for 1,377 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions. Unfortunately for the Texans, 352 of those yards and two of those touchdowns will not be on the field Sunday as Andre Johnson after having a procedure done on his hamstring. Johnson injured his leg against the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago. Houston traded for Derrick Mason to replace him. Mason's first game as a Texan happens to be against his former team.
