Aaron Hernandez, who missed two weeks earlier this season with a sprained MCL, is still listed as questionable on the Patriots' injury report, but that has more to do with the team's notoriously conservative injury reporting than his status for today's game against the Cowboys.
Aaron Hernandez Status Update: Patriots TE Not Slowed By Knee Brace
Hernandez returned last week, catching five balls for 56 yards. He also dropped a ball in the end zone, leading to Tom Brady's first interception in the red zone at Gillette Stadium, which makes you wonder if Brady might turn his attention back toward Rob Gronkowski, New England's other outstanding tight end, the next time around. Hernandez is wearing a brace on his left knee, but he refuses to acknowledge it has a real effect on his performance.
“You’re not thinking about it when it’s on,” he said, according to the Boston Globe. “So, you still have to play football. It may make you a tenth of a second slower, but it’s not that big of a difference, and I can’t use it as an excuse.”
