James Jones is part of a multitude of options Aaron Rodgers has at his disposal when he looks to pass out of the Green Bay Packers backfield. That typically leads to good fantasy stats for the quarterback of the defending Super Bowl champions, but the wide receivers are kind of a crap shoot on Sunday.
James Jones Fantasy Update: Packers Wide Receiver Good, Not Great, In Victory
Jones did a decent job in the Packers win over the Vikings, but it wasn’t anything special. After recording a touchdown in his last three games, Jones was held to 63 yards on four receptions.
Jones was averaging 44 receiving yards a game with 263 receiving yards on the season and the aforementioned three touchdowns through his first six games of the 2011 NFL season. Jones’ yards per game is up nearly 5 yards per game from last season.
Jones was ranked by Yahoo! as the 55th ranked wide receiver heading into Week 7 taking on the Minnesota Vikings.
