Week seven of the 2011 NFL season gets underway in a few hours which means it is time to make some hard decisions about who you will start this week in fantasy football. The week seven byes feature a host of talented players on the sideline, making it all the more difficult. This bye week includes Buffalo, Cincinnati, New England, NY Giants, Philadelphia and San Francisco. That puts Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tom Brady, Eli Manning and Michael Vick on the sideline. Some folks might mix in Andy Dalton and Alex Smith, but those two are no more than bye week fill-ins for most people.
Fantasy Football Week 7 Advice: Sit/Start Projections For QBs
It should surprise nobody that Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees top the list of quarterbacks this week. Guys like Matthew Stafford, Tony Romo and Cam Newton all remain solid plays as well. Ben Roethlisberger has an enticing matchup as he gets the abysmal Arizona Cardinals defense.
Sleepers
You know about all the usual suspects at the QB position. Given this week's bye absences, you are likely looking for the sleeper QB options. Washington Redskins QB John Beck is not what I'd call a good QB, but if you are short a QB and looking for a deep sleeper, Beck could be interesting against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers can't stop anybody right now, which could give Beck some upside.
Colt McCoy has some sleeper value as well. The Browns QB hosts a Seattle Seahawks pass defense that is not quite abysmal, but is a long way from good. I wouldn't expect monster numbers from McCoy, but he could get enough pass attempts to overcome his low yards per attempt total.
Just to round out the mess of awful quarterbacks, Miami Dolphins QB Matt Moore gets a nice little matchup against the Denver Broncos. Neither team is any good, but Moore could get some decent numbers against a poor Broncos team.
