Fantasy Football Week 8 Quarterback Projections: Newton, Tebow Getting Respect

Yesterday, we turned the computer loose on fantasy football projections for Week 8. Now, we let the fantasy gurus have their say. SB Nation partner, playthisguy.com, has surveyed 15 sources of fantasy football advice, and compiled a Top 10 list of fantasy projections for the quarterback position.

With Aaron Rodgers on a bye, and Tom Brady going against a good Steelers defense, Drew Brees is the consensus top pick for this week. Rookie Cam Newton continues his ascent up the fantasy ladder and holds the second place. Matthew Stafford's injury doesn't seem to be affecting him in practice, so he's a definite go this week in the projections. That guy, Tim Tebow, keeps showing up in projections, even though he's constantly critiqued and analyzed.

Week 8 Consensus Rankings

1. Drew Brees (NO @ STL)
2. Cam Newton (CAR vs. MIN)
3. Michael Vick (PHI vs. DAL)
4. Tom Brady (NE @ PIT)
5. Ben Roethlisberger (PIT vs. NE)
