Pierre Thomas Fantasy: Slow Day For Thomas And Saints Running Game

New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas led his team in rushing today, but it was a far cry from what most would have expected against a St. Louis Rams defense prone to giving running backs big days. Thomas rushed for just 23 yards on seven carries. He did score a touchdown in the upset loss to the Rams.

Thomas had 222 rushing yards and 206 receiving yards on the season with zero touchdowns on the ground and 1 touchdown in the air. Thomas was averaging 32 yards rushing and 29 yards receiving per game. Thomas rushing yards per game are down nearly 15 yards per game from last season.

Thomas was ranked as the 16th ranked running back according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the St. Louis Rams.
