Daniel Thomas Questionable With Hamstring

Miami Dolphins second-round running back Daniel Thomas' troublesome hamstring injury kept him out of most of this week's practices and has him listed as "questionable" on the team's final injury report of the week.

Despite missing Weeks 1 and 4 with an injured hamstring, Thomas leads the Dolphins with 75 carries and 302 yards, providing an inside running element to Brian Daboll’s offense. Thomas has struggled the last two weeks, though, gaining 100 yards on 34 carries.

On Friday, Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano commented on how Thomas is handling the nagging injury.

“He’s handling it as well as any young guy can handle it,” Sparano said via the Sun-Sentinel. “Somebody asked me if I was frustrated about it the other day, and I’m not frustrated because of the reward we get when he plays.”

If he's able to play, Thomas could have some success against a New York Giants defense that ranks 27th against the run thus far this season.
