Matthew Stafford Status Update: Lions QB Questionable, Should Start

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford injured his ankle last week against the Atlanta Falcons, but is expected to play on Sunday. Stafford was limited all week in practice until Friday when he went in full. He's officially listed as questionable on the injury report.

Stafford will be going up against a poor Denver pass defense and he's thrown at least two touchdowns in 6 of his 7 starts this year. There's no reason to believe Stafford's ankle will downgrade his play enough to warrant sitting him this week. The Broncos defense is horrible and he should be able to pick their secondary apart, even with Champ Bailey likely being on Calvin Johnson all game long. Stafford has 16 passing touchdowns on the season with only 4 interceptions.
