Malcom Floyd Status Update: Chargers WR Should Be Active

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd had been limied with a foot and hip injury, but was upgraded in Friday's practice as he participated fully. He's officially listed as questionable for Monday Night Football, but all indications are he will play.

Floyd has struggled to make an impact after re-signing with the Chargers when he got no play in free agency. He's averaging just 49 yards a game receiving and has eclipsed 50 receiving yards just twice this season. Unless you absolutely need to play a wide receiver, there are better bye week and injury options than Floyd out there. He has just a single touchdown on the season and with Antonio Gates back in the line up, those looks in the redzone will virtually all but disappear.
