Mike Tolbert Status Update: Chargers RB Doubtful

San Diego Chargers running back Mike Tolbert injured his hand and has missed practice all week. He's officially listed as doubtful now for Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs and is not expected to be active. Tolbert had been splitting time with Ryan Mathews, but he was slowly losing carries as the season went on.

With it looking like Tolbert will be out, Curtis Brinkley will be the primary back up to Mathews, but you shouldn't expect Brinkley to get many touches. With Tolbert down, Mathews work load should increase to the level the Chargers have wanted it to be at for a while. Tolbert was a good goal line and redzone back, but that role will now shift the the Chargers former first round pick.
