Daniel Thomas Status Update: Dolphins RB Out For Week 8

The Miami Dolphins have officially downgraded running back Daniel Thomas from questionable earlier in the week to out with a hamstring injury, according to Adam Schefter:

Thomas' injury means more carries for Reggie Bush against the New York Giants, who feature a fearsome pass rush but a linebacker corps that's been decimated by injuries, therefore susceptible to the running game. Behind Thomas and Bush on the depth chart are Lex Gilliam and Steve Slaton, so each should see some carries, but not enough to warrant fantasy consideration.

Bush, despite getting 60 carries and 17 receptions so far, has scored only one touchdown this year, so fantasy owners who must plug him in should be wary that he’ll get most of his points from yardage, which is never a good scenario. The move to trade him for a pizza should have been executed weeks ago, when the pizza’s owner saw Bush’s value at its highest.
