Washington Redskins running back Tashard Choice is listed as "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring injury the fourth-year running back had when he was claimed off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys on October 31.
Tashard Choice Questionable With Hamstring Injury
Choice was inactive for last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but practiced fully on Wednesday before he was limited on Thursday and Friday.
The Redskins lost starting running back Tim Hightower to a season-ending knee injury, prompting them to jump at an opportunity to add an experienced back like Choice, who in 54 for Dallas rushed for 1,139 yards and eight touchdowns with 64 receptions for 497 yards out of the backfield.
After practicing on Wednesday, Choice said he wasn’t having any difficulty adjusting to a new offense.
“It doesn’t take that long,” Choice said via Ryan O’Halloran of CSN Washington. “Football is football, I’m studying every day, understanding everything, taking mental reps.”
If Choice is unable to play, rookie Roy Helu is expected to be the feature back. Helu has 37 carries for 172 yards on the season and had 10 carries for 41 yards in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers.
