Matt Schaub Injury Update: Matt Leinart To Fill In Moving Forward
Rather, Leinart is a guy to modestly consider stashing on your bench. There are plenty of better backup options, but in deeper leagues, Leinart is worth a grab. Leinart hasn’t thrown a pass in a game since 2009 and really hasn’t been “the guy” since 2007. I’m not holding my breath for much of anything from Matt Leinart, but if you have an open roster spot, I suppose he’s worth modest consideration.

Reid did not clarify Vick’s status for week eleven. He will likely take some time off from practice, but it is hard to tell how much time off he would need beyond that. If he can go on Sunday he would likely wear some kind of flak jacket, along with getting his ribs taped up. This could slow him down and impact his passing. If you have a backup QB, this might be a good week to consider that alternative, even if Vick plays.

Read Article >Willis McGahee, Knowshon Moreno Injury Update: Broncos RBs Banged Up
According to John Fox, McGahee could have returned in an emergency, but the team decided not to get him back into the game. That would seem to indicate he’ll be OK for next week, but as with most hamstring injuries, we’re really going to need to see how he does in practice this week. A tight hamstring can be aggravated fairly easily, so this is something to keep an eye on Wednesday through Friday.
Knowshon Moreno left the game with a sprained knee and it sounds like the team expects Moreno to miss at least one game, and maybe more. Moreno will have an MRI Monday to determine if it’s a ligament sprain or if anything is torn. A sprained knee could knock him out two to four weeks, while tears could end his season.

After the game, Maclin spoke to the media and was not particularly exuberant about his condition. Without hearing Maclin’s tone or the context of the conversation, we can’t really take a lot from Adam Caplan’s tweet. Maclin appears to be hoping for some improvement on Monday, so we’ll wait and see what kind of update we get.
The Eagles had all sorts of problems at wide receiver as they deactivated Desean Jackson due to missing a meeting (and potentially some other team rules infractions). The Vince Young-dubbed Dream Team finds itself in a nightmare season and it doesn’t get any better if Maclin goes down. Desean Jackson has struggled lately and Maclin was stepping up. Now, we’ll have to wait and see the extent of his hamstring injury. More to come.

Green didn’t think the injury was too serious, but he didn’t seem completely sure about the timetable for his return. I’d imagine he’ll see how he feels in the morning and if there is any swelling or any other problems with the knee. Marv Lewis will likely chat with the media tomorrow and hopefully will be able to provide an update on Green’s condition.

Head coach Mike Smith will chat with the media on Monday and I would imagine he’ll get some questions about Jones’ injury. The Falcons return to practice on Wednesday, so we may not get any sort of update on Jones’ status until that first practice participation report. Hopefully though, we’ll get some more information on Monday.

We’ll keep an eye on injury reports this week to see if Gore is limited during the week. The 49ers host an Arizona Cardinals team that stunned Philadelphia on the road, but also still has a struggling defense. If Gore is limited, we could again see more of Kendall Hunter on the ground.

Getty ImagesJackson’s situation, however, is different because he’s been at odds with Eagles management for two years about getting a high-paying, long-term contract. Behavior and attitude are two reasons the team has been hesitant to do so, but more than anything Jackson is a massive bargain. He’s he’s one of the most dangerous players in the NFL and he’s still on his rookie contract, which pays him about $600,000.

Freeman will be playing the NFL’s second ranked pass defense in the Houston Texans however, who have generated a good pass rush in their new 3-4 look. Freeman may struggle with his accuracy if his thumb is still bothering him against a team with a pass rush that can get to him and hit him, however.

‘We’re confident (without Hester),” Smith said via Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times. “You’re right -- there’s only one Devin Hester. No one has anyone like him. So without him there, we’ll just have another very good returner to replace him. We have other guys on our roster who have scored touchdowns in NFL games. So we should be OK.”

Playing on a one-year restricted free agent tender, Green-Ellis leads the Patriots with 452 yards and five touchdowns. Green-Ellis’ most productive game of the 2011 season came in the first meeting with the Jets, with the former undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss running for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 30-21 win at Gillette Stadium.

Moore’s hamstring injury cropped up during the week, keeping the slot receiver out of the final two practices of the week.
Moore bounced back from an injury-plagued 2009 season to be the Saints’ second-leading receiver in 2010, catching 66 passes for 736 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns. Moore’s production resulted in a five-year, $20 million contract extension when the lockout ended in July.

Bradford is officially listed as “Questionable” with his ankle injury.
In the loss, Bradford completed 23-of-36 pass attempts for 255 yards with an interception. Bradford was back in a walking boot after the game and was a limited participant in all of this week’s practices. Should Bradford be unable to play against the Browns, who are coached by former Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, Feeley would make his third start of the season.
