Josh Freeman Status Update: Bucs QB Will Start

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman will start against the Houston Texans, despite still dealing with a bit of a thumb injury. Freeman injured his thumb a few weeks ago and played with it heavily taped last week against the New Orleans Saints. Freeman completed 73% of his passes last week and threw for over 270 yards and a touchdown, so the thumb didn't seem to be much of an issue.

Freeman will be playing the NFL’s second ranked pass defense in the Houston Texans however, who have generated a good pass rush in their new 3-4 look. Freeman may struggle with his accuracy if his thumb is still bothering him against a team with a pass rush that can get to him and hit him, however.
