Fantasy Football Week 10 Advice: Sit/Start Projections For Kickers

The NFL continues its week ten schedule of games with the majority of the slate scheduled for Sunday. Thursday Night Football between the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers got things going, but now we get the main course of games.

The kicker position finds itself a little banged up this week. Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski was questionable all week with his hamstring injury but ended up kicking on Thursday. For Sunday, Rian Lindell is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury and has been replaced by free agent Dave Rayner. Browns kicker Phil Dawson has dealt with migraines and Jason Hanson banged up his knee playing with his kids, but both are expected to kick on Sunday.

The kicker position is important in the sense that you never want to take a zero, but on the other hand, it’s a position where few players are worth stashing on your bench if they are hurt. Rian Lindell is playing with a high octane offense, but he is out and simply not worth holding onto at this point. In the case of Lindell, Dave Rayner is a solid add during his absence. Other than that, if you are in need of a kicker this week, look for teams that struggle in the red zone.

Here are the top 15 kicker projections for today. You can view all the projections at numberFire.com. For more on fantasy football, check out Fake Teams. Follow us on twitter@sbnationfantasy.
