Damian Williams Fantasy Recap: Titans WR Has Huge Day Versus Panthers

The Tennessee Titans went into Carolina on Sunday and took the Panthers behind the woodshed in their 30-3 victory. Chris Johnson had a big game, but wide receiver Damian Williams surprised some folks with his biggest performance of the season. Williams hauled in five receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown put the Titans up 14-0 and they never looked back.

The Titans have been scrambling at wide receiver ever since Kenny Britt went down. Nate Washington stepped up, but getting a big performance from Williams takes pressure off Washington to be "the guy." Williams as shown some hints of production, with a pair of 60+ receiving games and he also had three touchdowns on the season coming in to Sunday.

Williams is not a guy you will be starting every week, but he is a solid start if the matchup is right. Next week against the Falcons is probably not one of those matchups. However, as your playoffs approach, late season matchups with New Orleans and Indianapolis could make for solid games to start Williams.
