The Washington Redskins dropped to 3-6 on Sunday as they lost 20-9 to the Miami Dolphins, but one positive to come out of the game was the breakout performance of rookie wide receiver Leonard Hankerson. The draft pick out of Miami put together far and away his best performance of the season, finishing with eight receptions for 106 yards. Prior to Sunday's game, Hankerson had five receptions for 57 yards.

Hankerson did have to leave the game in the fourth quarter with a right hip strain, but he does not believe the injury is serious and does not expect to miss any time. It would benefit him tremendously to get back on the field in the coming week as he is building some positive momentum moving forward.
Santana Moss is expected to miss at least three more weeks with his broken hand. This provides a great opportunity for Hankerson to secure some meaningful playing time after Moss gets back on the field. If he can continue developing over the next month, he could secure a starting position the rest of the way. He is not an every week play, but if you want to stash him on your bench, he has some intriguing matchups the rest of the way.
