Peyton Hillis Injury Update: Browns RB Still Not Practicing

Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis did not practice yet again on Wednesday as the 2010 star continues to struggle to get anything going in 2011. His latest problem is a hamstring injury that has sidelined him since October 16. He has tried to get back and was a game-time decision this past week, but it simply has not happened.

The Browns running back situation is quite a mess right now due to a host of injuries. Hillis continues to struggle with his hamstring and backup Montario Hardesty is out with a tear of his calf muscle. That leaves former practice squad running back Chris Ogbonnaya as the potential starting running back this weekend against the New York Giants. The Browns also added free agent Thomas Clayton, who has bounced around various practice squads in his brief NFL career.

Right now, it would appear that Chris Ogbonnaya will likely get the starting snaps on Sunday. It is a tough matchup against a solid Giants rush defense. And if the Giants jump out to an early lead, I would not expect a whole lot of production from Ogbonnaya.
