Julio Jones Probable With Hamstring Injury

Atlanta Falcons rookie wide receiver Julio Jones is listed as "Probable" for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

An injury to his left hamstring cost the first-round pick out of Alabama two games in October, and Jones missed last week's win over the Tennessee Titans with a right hamstring injury. Jones was held out of Wednesday's practice and was limited on Thursday before he was a full participant on Friday and appears to target to face the Vikings, who have the league's 28th-ranked pass defense.

Jones has caught 30 passes for 498 yards and two touchdowns as the No. 2 receiver opposite Roddy White. The rookie praised the work of training staff members Jeff Fish and Marty Lauzon for getting him ready to return to the field.

“They were keeping me on top of things as far as flexibility and making sure my core [stomach muscles] were balanced,” Jones said according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I think that’s how I got my hamstring issue because one side was weaker than the other. We just made sure everything was strong and equal.”
