Mathews missed practice on Thursday, leaving some doubt that he would be active on Sunday, but on Friday was a full participant and is expected to play against the Broncos.

If Mathews somehow can't play and is ruled a late scratch by the Chargers, back up running back Mike Tolbert is a good play. Tolbert is typically a good play even when Mathews is healthy, as Tolbert seems to get the majority of short yardage runs, including runs on the goal line.
